Srinagar:: Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested a person for allegedly committing domestic violence from Zangalpora area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
In a statement issued here on Saturday police said that a woman approached Police Station Devsar in a critical condition for assistance accordingly a case FIR number 37/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Devsar and investigation was initiated.
Stating that the injured lady was sent to District Hospital Kulgam for treatment and in the meantime, a video was uploaded by the lady on social media which was also received by Kulgam Police, Police in the above referred statement said that during the course of investigation, a police team headed by SHO PS Devsar under the supervision of DySP PC Kulgam was constituted and the husband of the woman was arrested following which the accused person was shifted to police station where he remains in custody and further investigation is in progress.
