Hit and run case solved in Kulgam , Accused arrested : Police

Srinagar: Police on Saturday said that it has solved a hit and run case in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district and arrested the accused in this connection.
In a statement issued on Saturday police said “After receiving an input that a motorcycle driven by a person namely Aaqib Ahmad Dar son of Bashir Ahmad Dar resident of Gulzarabad DH Pora was hit by an unknown vehicle near village Shouch Kulgam police swung into action and found the body of the injured person lying on the road in unconscious state”.
Stating that the injured person was immediately shifted by Kulgam police to hospital for treatment , police in it’s statement further said that a case vide FIR number 118/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Kulgam and investigation was initiated.
Stating in during the course of investigation, a special investigation team led by SHO Kulgam under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Kulgam was constituted and with the aid of technical evidences & human inputs the accused driver was traced & subsequently arrested and also later identified as Nisar Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Ahad Dar resident of Mohammadpora Kulgam, police in it’s statement said “vehicle bearing registration number JK18C-1830 (Load carrier) has also been seized”.
Revealing that the above named accused has been shifted to police station where he remains in custody, police in it’s statement further said “further investigation of the case is in progress”. It is pertinent to mention that the injured person is still under medical observation at Bones and Joint Hospital Srinagar.
