Srinagar: President J&K Apni Party Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Saturday expressed deep shock and grief over the demise of Dr Shamim Ahmad Wani, Special Secretary to Government, Finance Department, and former Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, who passed away at GMC Jammu.
In a statement issued on Saturday Bukhari described Dr Wani as a dedicated officer and a former colleague who was extremely sincere towards his duties and other official obligations. “The deceased was thoroughly gentle, honest and known for his down-to-earth nature. His demise has left a huge void not only in the administrative circles but amongst his vast social groups across Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.
Bukhari said that he would cherish the time spent with the deceased in his capacity as a former colleague in the finance department. “I had very cordial relations with the deceased and his family and I pray to almighty Allah to grant him Jannat and give courage to his bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss. On behalf of my family and Apni Party, I extend solidarity with the bereaved and pray for their endurance to face this difficult time,” he added
