Srinagar: Police on Wednesday said that to implement the Covid-19 guidelines/SOPs/restrictions strictly across Kashmir 129 persons were arrested apart from which 74 FIRs lodged and fine of Rs91,650/- was realised from 586 people for violating the guidelines/rules throughout Kashmir.
A police statement issued on covid violation across Kashmir also said that 23 vehicles were also seized in Budgam for violating guidelines/restrictions and indulging in illegal excavation and transportation of clay.
Stating that 11 shops were also seized by police along with Executive Magistrate in Beerwah and Khansahib areas of Budgam for violating Covid-19 norms, police in the above referred statement also said that special drive against the violators of Covid-19 guidelines/rules continued in all the districts of Kashmir Valley to ensure that people adhere to SOPs/ guidelines envisaged by government to curb COVID-19 pandemic.
In the concluding para of it’s statement police also appealed people to cooperate with the Police in containing the spread of Coronavirus by following the SOPs/guidelines/protocols for the safety of the people, reiterating therein that special drive shall remain continue throughout the districts of Kashmir valley to strengthen the safety measures.
