Srinagar: Police on Monday said that it has arrested a notorious Burglar involved in many cases in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district and recovered stolen property worth lakhs of rupees from his possession
In a statement issued on Monday police said “Police Station Behibagh received many complaints regarding burglary and accordingly Cases vide FIR Nos. 07/2021, 13/2021 & 14/2021 under relevant sections of law were registered and investigation set into motion”.
Stating that during the course of investigation, officers zeroed in on one suspected person identified as Suhail Ahmad Ganie resident of Daderkoot who during questioning confessed his involvement in thefts/burglaries occurred within the Jurisdiction of Police Station Behibagh, police in it’s statement further said “ upon the disclosure by the accused officers recovered one Tata mobile Vehicle, Epson Led Projector, One Power Genset, Electronic wood cutter, Sound system amplifier, three Gas Cylinders and different household items from his possession following which he was arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody”.
In he concluding para of it’s statement police said “further investigation into the matter is going on. More arrests & recoveries are expected”.
