Jammu : Kashmiri medico Dr Tasaduk Hussain Itoo has received Letter of Appreciation from Narayana Health Founder Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty in recognition for his contribution and selfless services during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic as a doctor working in Narayana Health.

The Letter of Appreciation was presented to him among other doctors and staff in an award function organized by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital Jammu — that has been a pioneer hospital in Jammu and Kashmir for treating hundreds of Covid-19 patients.

“It has been a great experience while working in the Covid wards and intensive care unit. Dealing with the patients has been full of worthwhile lessons. I could observe the “concept of isolation” has been traumatic for patients than the Covid per se. The most active complaint of the patients has been ‘feeling of loneliness’ and ‘fear of uncertainty’. There were many emotional scenes to witness. At Narayana Hospital, the staff — doctors, nurses, nurse orders, sweepers etc have been cordial and providing immense support, sympathy, love and care to patients and letting them feel as if they are in their families. God bless all the staff of Narayana.”, Dr Tasaduk said in a statement.

He said that we have come a long way in containing the pandemic with advancement in its treatment and development of an effective vaccine, however the battle against it has not yet end amid recurrence of waves, development of some new strains of virus and re-surge in the number of cases.

He advised the people should continue to strictly adhere to precautionary measures and go for vaccination on their turn.

He said that people should believe in scientific evidence and avoid falling prey to any kind of rumours as the research has revealed that the vaccine is safe, efficacious and immunogenic — that has the potential to protect and prevent you from Covid-19 infection, besides it shall help in protecting others around you from Covid-19.
