SSP Budgam received cyclist Adil Teli at Srinagar Airport, Ompora Markazi Auqaf Committee meets SSP Budgam

Srinagar: SSP Budgam received cyclist Adil Teli at Srinagar International Airport on his return from Kanyakumari. Adil Teli has bought laurels to Jammu & Kashmir by setting a record of cycling from Kashmir to Kanyakumari in record time of 8 days 1 hour and 37 minutes. A bouquet was presented by SSP Budgam to the cyclist on his arrival to welcome to him.
SSP Budgam while receiving the Cyclist Adil stated that sports is important part of a personality development and Adil’s achievement will definitely encourage sports activities in Kashmir.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Markazi Auqaf Committee Ompora headed by Chairman Shri Asadullah Wani called on SSP Budgam. During the meeting, the participants raised various issues including drug abuse and other social evils etc in the area. SSP Budgam Tahir Saleem assured the delegation of strict action in time bound manner against the people found involved in illegal activities/social crimes. The delegation also assured their full cooperation to Budgam Police in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinion freely.
Badamwari violence incident: 20 miscreants identified , arrested, Says Police
Srinagar: Police on Thursday said that a group of miscreants who created ruckus on the stage during a cultural show at Badamwari Srinagar when the demand of a song was not fulfilled immediately by the performing artists have been arrested .
In a statement issued on Thursday Police recalled that it used maximum restraint to restore order as the use of any kind of force would have created a stampede like situation at the venue but a case vide FIR No. 11/2021 was registered at PS Rainawari and investigation initiated.
Stating that during the course of investigation so far, 20 miscreants have been identified and arrested, police in the above referred statement said that further investigation of the case is in progress.
