Srinagar: Apni Party on Monday organized a one-day Party workers convention at Chrar-e-Sharif in district Budgam.

The convention was organized by Party leader Mushtaq Zuhami and presided over by Apni Party Vice President Zaffar Iqbal Manhas who was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

Apni Party Media Advisor Farooq Andrabi, District President Srinagar Noor Mohammad Sheikh, General Secretary Youth Wing Muzaffar Reshi and Provincial President Youth Wing Kashmir Khalid Rathore also attended the convention.

Addressing the convention, Zaffar Iqbal Manhas said that Chrar-e-Sharif is a sacred land famous all over the world for being the resting place of Kashmir’s famous Sufi saint Hazrat Noor-ud-din Wali (RA).

“This blessed and sacred land is a place for devotees and tourists but regrettably it has not seen the much deserved infrastructural development to cater to their needs. However, we envision that with our unstinted efforts and your cooperation Chrar-e-Sharif will emerge as a model town that will host devotees in a more comfortable manner,” Zaffar Iqbal Manhas said.

He observed that his party is committed for the restoration of Statehood and will not rest until that goal is materialized. He said: “Our party will leave no stone unturned until statehood is reinstated. Our party will never compromise on this issue even though some are now giving a silent nod to it.”

The event was addressed by Media Advisor Farooq Andrabi, District President Srinagar Noor Mohammad Sheikh, General Secretary Youth Wing Muzaffar Reshi and Provincial President Youth Wing Kashmir Khalid Rathore. They impressed upon the party workers to work diligently for the welfare of the people in their respective areas and mitigate their sufferings at an earliest.

Party leader Mushtaq Zuhami thanked the Party leadership and avowed to strengthen the party at grass root levels.
