Sopore: The newly elected councilors from sopore on Thursday met Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore and sought his intervention for developmental facelifting of the apple town and restoration of it’s pristine glory.
The newly elected councilors led by Masrat Kar held a meeting with ADC Sopore Parvaiz Sajad in his office and projected before him the problems and issues of the town. Earlier the councillors met Director Urban Local Bodies (Kashmir) at his Srinagar office Wednesday this week.
During the meeting, the councillors discussed several issues with ADC including garbage dumping site, defunct street lights, issues at MC Sopore and other problems faced by the people of the town. A councillor Masrat Kar said that motive and aim of the councillors to met ADC Sopore was to make the administration aware of the problems confronting the common masses here in Sopore. “As the elected representatives, it is our duty to come forward and help people in all possible ways,” Kar said. She said that the people of Sopore elected us by means of development and now it is out turn to help them in best possible ways.
