GMC Doda hosts foundation course for its maiden MBBS Batch

Doda: The Government Medical College, Doda has started a one month online foundation course for the newly admitted students of the First batch of the MBBS for the session 2020-21.
In this regard, District Development Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode was invited to hold online interaction with the medical students of the First MBBS batch of the Medical College.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC congratulated the students for being the part of the great institution, ‘which has a great importance not for Doda district but for the entire erstwhile district Doda.’
The DDC gave students tips for the overall personalit development and acquitted them with the political, demographic as well as health scenario of the district.
Further the DDC through powerpoint presentation informed the participants about the various national health programs under implementation in the district and the achievements of the district administration in their effective implementation for the general good of the people.
The DDC urged the students not to confine themselves to their course and have holistic diagnosis of the public issues to suggest best treatment.
The DDC assured all the necessary support to the students and the institution. “You will be provided wholehearted support for having the best understanding of the course to compete with medical institutions of the J&K as well as of the country,” he added.
Later, the students asked various questions pertaining to their course, personality development, stress management, about functioning of the district administration etc, which were satisfactorily answered by the DDC.
Lastly, the Principal GMC, Dr Dinesh Sharma extended gratitude to the DDC for sharing his experience and valuable thoughts with the students which will help them to become good doctors in their future life.
