No snow clearance in Sopore, Bla towns irks residents as officials remain clueless

Sopore: After the two days of snowfall, the roads, link roads, lanes and by lanes of north Kashmir’s Sopore and Baramulla towns are still covered with one feet of snow as the departments tasked the job of snow clearance remain clueless.
The residents of most localities of the town including Noorbagh, Moominabad, New colony, Chankhan, jamia qadeem, Badam bagh, krankshivan colony, Arampora , Batpora , Delina, Kanispora, Khajabagh, khanpora , sangrama, khushhalpore Chinad and Baramulla alleged that the departments tasked the job of snow clearance failed to clear the lanes, by-lanes and other interior link roads of the towns and villages saying that they face huge inconvenience and hardships.
“I had to travel to hospital to take my father for a medical Check-up, but Since the snow wasn’t cleared off the roads, I faced a lot of problems to reach the hospital in time, ” said Rahil Ahmad Bhat aresident of Batpora Sopore. He further said “I faced immense difficulties just to cover the distance of one kilometer because my vehicle was continuously drifting here and there due to the snow accumulation on the roads and lanes of our locality” . President Economic Alliance Sopore Haji Muhammad Ashraf Ganaie said “ the R&B department and Municipal Council officials whose duty is to make roads motorable in times of bad weather shows non seriousness. The negligence towards their duties has pushed residents to corner” , He said “ government’s step motherly approach towards this town doesn’t change since decades “.
Residents of Rampora ,Rajpora and yemberzalwary of sopore north Kashmir said ” for the last two day we are trapped in snow, now on third consecutive day no one cares about us, we carried patients on beds to Hospital at Sopore”
