Art Exhibition in memory of Sculptor V R Khajuria held

Jammu: An Online Sculpture Exhibition dedicated to Late V R Khajuria, an eminent sculptor of Jammu & Kashmir, was organized by Viraj Kala Kendra (VKK), Jammu in collaboration with Verman Cultural Celebrations (VCC), Jammu and K H Art Gallery (KHAG), Hiranagar (Kathua), on Khajuria’s birth anniversary. The sculptures of Late (Smt.) Gobind Kaur, 1st contemporary woman sculptor of Jammu, Ganesh Sharma, Bishamber Mehta, Brij Mohan Sharama, Ravinder Jamwal, Kumud Mohinder, Bodh Raj Baldotra, Rajinder Kumar, Devi Dass Khatri and Vikas Dogra, the well known senior and young artists of Jammu & Kashmir are being exhibited in this exhibition.
Jang S. Verman said ‘The works displayed in the exhibition are the projection of the creativity of sculptors, most of them being the students of the artist, sculptor & writer V R Khajuria who brought Jammu & Kashmir in the field of sculpture on the map of world art. The art works display the divergent variety styles, mediums and concepts being undertaken by the artists in this region of the country.’
Raj Bharti, President VKK, Jang S. Verman, VCC and Ganesh Sharma, KHAG have complimented the participants of the exhibition for paying artistic tribute to Late V R Khajuria on his birth anniversary. The organizations projecting this exhibition have been doing a lot of work in the field of art and culture for a long period and have been regularly conducting a number of art and cultural activities like exhibitions, camps, art competitions etc. The exhibition has been curated by well known artist Devi Dass Khattri, hailing from Bishnah and now working in New Delhi. The exhibition will be on display up to 15th December, 2020.
