In a statement issued on Monday Hakeem condemned the blasphemy act in Arnas area of district Reasi that lhas severly hurt religious sentiments of a particular community. While demanding exemplary punishment to the elements involved in the anti- social act,he appealed to the people to maintain communal harmony and peace at all costs . He said administration should act swiftly against the culprits involved in blasphemous remarks against prophet of Islam Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH )so that a clear message goes out that anti-social and anti-human element have no place in a civilized society especially in Jammu and Kashmir in – an abode of multi religious faiths and beliefs. He said communal harmony and brotherhood has been the hallmark of JK’s composite culture and ethos and no element, who so ever be, shall be allowed to allow to tarnish these bonds. He said Prophet Muhhammad (PBUH) is the most revered leader of the whole Muslim world so the any blasphemous act against him have a potential to evoke resentment and anguish cross the world. PDF Chairman cautioned the law enforcement agencies against the evil forces who want to disrupt the fabric of social harmony in jammu and kashmir. He said jammu and kashmir was passing through the darkest phase of socio- political uncertainly and upholding the values of compassion and harmony and mutual help was need of the hour.
