Budgam Police arrests two drug peddlers; Contraband substance recovered

Budgam : Continuing its drive against drug dealings, Police have arrested two drug peddlers in Budgam and recovered contraband substance from their possession.
Officers at a check point established at Bugroo Parnewa intercepted two suspicious persons identified as Abdul Rasheed Bhat resident of Parnewa and Mudasir Ahmad Mir resident of Bugroo, Khansahab. During checking officers were able to recover 250 grams of Charas from their possession. They have been arrested and shifted to Police Station Khansahab where they remain in custody.
According, case FIR No. 145/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Khansahab and investigation has been initiated.
Community members have been advised to share with police any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law. Police have resolved to deal robustly with drug peddlers.
Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
