Covid-19 has laid a heinous siege to the whole world. Without any bias and favoritism it has affected almost all the states of the world. It doesn’t target a particular community or people belonging to a particular religion or philosophy. One positive aspect about covid-19 is that it doesn’t discriminate people and poses equal threat to everyone. Since the day this pernicious virus was detected in the vale of Saints – Otherwise called Mooj Kasheer, it has terrified our hearts and jangled our nerves. Kashmir isn’t safe anymore. This itty bitty virus has agonized every nook and cranny of Kashmir. People here are discombobulated, frustrated and impatiently waiting for any possible remedy. The effects of this pernicious covid-19 are palpable in almost all sectors, departments, organisations and sections of society. The educational institutions are closed, public transport is off the roads, the shops, malls, miniature factories and other business hubs are chained. The economy is worsening day by day. Not to mention its deleterious effects on the mental health status of people. The unprecedented surge in the covid-19 cases has aggravated our pain and extinguished the sparks of hope.
Nobody here stops fussing over the deleterious consequences of this deadly coronavirus. Individuals of almost every age group are curious to acquaint themselves with the status of covid-19 in Kashmir. In such a stressful environment our medical professionals try their level best to combat this virus. Besides furnishing guidelines they keep on motivating people to follow the covid-19 precautions and ensure their safety. Contrary to this, our administration, in order to rub salt into our wounds, charges the benighted Vale of Kashmir with unexamined brick kiln labourers. This is a typical exacerbation. on one hand you impede the movements of natives, compel them to stay inside and on the other hand you bring unexamined laborers into the valley! What fruitful consequences would this baneful act trigger?
A lot depends upon our medical professionals, social activists, writers, journalists and other pro-social groups. We all need to converge towards a common goal and help people to cope with the menace of COVID-19.
It has aggravated the sufferings of hapless Kashmiris. Their stress and anxiety levels have increased. The poor Kashmiris have absolutely no clue whether these experts will reconstruct the countless gutted homes or push them towards endless misery, havoc and suffering. Some Kashmiris believe that these laborers have been brought for construction activities i.e.; to construct facilities for security forces outside the cantonments. While others reckon that it is the commencement of colonization by Indian crafty politicians. No matter what reasons lie behind this move? The repercussions would be absolutely noxious and venomous! Why so? Because our health sector is on crutches and we have limited facilities and equipments in the health care settings. If covid-19 intensifies, our worries, hitches and sufferings will dramatically pinnacle. Instead of equipping our medicos with novel tools and equipments, our administration is intensifying their headache. Well, this Mass influx of brick kiln experts has upsurged the anxiety of Kashmiris. They fail to fathom the appropriate reasons behind this novel policy of the government. Instead of appeasing the current brutal circumstances our administration is making this bad situation even worse. In the middle of such hopelessness, how can we combat the menace of COVID-19? It becomes our basic responsibility to cajole government disseminate the real reasons behind this policy. A lot depends upon our medical professionals, social activists, writers, journalists and other pro-social groups.
