Covid- 19 pandemic has perturbed every single soul as even unfolding speak themselves of the intensity of deepening human crisis. The uninvited pitiless non living nano creature” covid pandemic”hijacked the lives of every soul almost in every part of the world. It has incarcerated the hapless populations within the four walls of the residential structures. In this deepening human crisis, the technology played quintessential role in mitigating the sufferings of hapless population across the world. By virtue of technology we are able to keep ourselves on the track. Whether you are working from home or consulting your doctors online, or teaching your students online, and so on, you are totally dependent on technology. Even though technology cannot preclude the onset of the pandemics, but it can help prevent the spread, educate, warn, and empower those on the ground to be aware of the situation, and noticeably lessen the impact. Really our lives are impelled by technology, and the extant paraphernalia are now better, faster, easier and more convenient. Computer and Internet technologies are ubiquitous, and they have reoriented every sector; be it medicine, education, tourism, entertainment, or any other. As the cases of covid 19 outbreak proliferate immensely, we eventually bank upon on technology. Our behaviours shifted, sometimes starkly, as the virus spread and pushed us to our devices for work, play and connecting. With nearly all public gatherings called off, we are seeking access to entertainment on streaming services like YouTube, and looking to connect with one another on social media outlets like Facebook, whatsapp, Instagram and so on. The worst affected education sector which strives to cope up with its loss, seeks to take the succor of technology. But unfortunately we are unable to utilize the technology effectively for educational purposes because of the restrictions on Internet and frequent buffering during browsing. Even so somehow we manage, till the extent we don’t get demotivated by the slow browsing, buffering and all that. As school assignments are being handed out on Google Classroom, meetings are happening on Zoom and through other online modes and mediums. No matter, whether we use less or more, we are utilizing it anyways. Thus technology simplifies access to educational resources and improves the learning experiences of students.
Building the necessary infrastructure to support a digitized world and stay current in the latest technology will be essential for any business or country, this need is also succored by the technology. All in all, the technologies revamped our lives during our tough times especially during the outbreak of covid-19 pandemic. Gratitude!
One of the crucial, and highly debated elements of our society is the quality of healthcare available to patients. And, undeniably, a driving force behind quality healthcare is the adoption of technology that enables medical practioners to provide better patient care. Especially during the times of pandemic, the role of technology in healthcare has expanded exponentially and figures to increase in conjunction with our societal technological advancements. Our ability to store, share and analyze health information is directly tied to improved technology. The use of technology increases provider capabilities and patient access while improving the quality of life for some patients and saving the lives of others. We’re moving into an epoch where doctors can see patients remotely and accurately diagnose a patient’s problems, even in the most rural areas, through telemedicine. As our hospitals get overloaded, telemedicine is an essential option for the diagnoses and even treatment of non-covid-19 ailments. We’ve progressed from using technology to improve patient care and the healthcare industry, impacting our society as a whole. Technology has also been used to address the spread of false information on social media like Facebook, Instagram, whatsappetc. For example, Twitter is launching a prompt when users search for coronavirus encouraging them to use official channels for information, and a large banner saying “Know the facts” appears, correspondingly other apps follow the same. The technologies also help to reduce the spread of the coronavirus while helping businesses stay open and helps to make society more resilient in the face of pandemic and other threats. Online Shopping and Robot Deliveries, remote work is enabled by technologies, virtual meetings, cloud technology, work collaboration tools and etc. All these technologies assist in our daily businesses. In addition, remote work also saves commute time and provides more flexibility.COVID-19 has demonstrated the importance of digital readiness also, which allows business and life to continue as usual – as much as possible – during pandemics. Building the necessary infrastructure to support a digitized world and stay current in the latest technology will be essential for any business or country, this need is also succored by the technology. All in all, the technologies revamped our lives during our tough times especially during the outbreak of covid-19 pandemic. Gratitude!
