Petty to deny Modi’s achievements in 3 yrs, but JK remains a ‘dark blot’: Omar

Srinagar/May,26: Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah Friday said that it would be petty to deny the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the last three years, but J&K remains a ‘dark blot’ that’s getting darker.
“PM Modi has many achievements to boast of after 3 years and it would be petty to deny them, but Jammu and Kashmir remains a dark blot that’s getting darker,” Mr Abdullah, who is the working president of main opposition in the state National Conference (NC), wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
Meanwhile, taking a dig at PDP-BJP government over the BJP president statement on Kashmir situation, he said that the admission by Amit Shah that ‘the situation is out of control’ speaks volumes about the alliance.
“A very important admission from the BJP president –the situation in Kashmir is out of control. Speaks volumes about the PDP-BJP alliance,” he said.
“I assure people that Narendra Modi-led government is monitoring Kashmir situation very seriously and will bring it under control soon,” Mr Shah said in the national capital while highlighting the achievements of NDA government since assuming power in 2014.
Taking a jibe at Center over former Army Chief Gen Bikran Singh’s comment that India can go into Pakistan and destroy Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) headquarters, he said there is no shortage of political will these days or at least that’s what we have been told.
Gen Singh in an interview to a news channel has said that Army can go into Pakistan and destroy LeT headquarters, but needs political will.
