Newspapers provide a wealth of information to the people. They offer an informative, thoughtful and even an entertaining content. A good newspaper enhances insights in a wide range of issues. It offers updates on developments around the world and plays a vital role in information dissemination and enhances freedom of expression. It also brings important happenings in the form of headlines to us to make us active and alert. Reading newspapers help us to shape our thought patterns towards the realities of events, people and the society at large. Newspapers make our mornings worthy and full of learning. It opens up our new trends of thinking. There are many popular voices in the field of journalism in our Jammu and Kashmir. But one name that is making an impact in this field is an emerging daily namely ‘Kashmir Horizon’ in Jammu & Kashmir. The leading daily has completed its twelve year journey but deserves accolade and appreciations. It is known for taking leads to be a voice of masses in the Jammu & Kashmir. Besides it has put more focus on quality information about economy, polity, trade, business, world affairs, international issues, health, sports etc. The leading daily has been on the hunt always to delight its large reader base through its varied and highly explored pages on the Horizon. The popular sections comprise of well-written international news, regional and local news. It has a dedicated region page on the horizon. It has a business page to highlight the concern and opportunities. It has News page on the horizon where one can find the initiatives and press releases by the departments in Jammu and Kashmir. The City Jammu page covers important happenings in Jammu. It has Nation on the Horizon to cover some important national stories. The Editorial and Ideas Page has contributions from prominent and budding columnists from varied backgrounds who are touching some amazing topics. One can highly find entertaining and informative columns on the Horizon. It has Oped Page where guest authors share some lovely and insightful thoughts. The page namely Health on the Horizon promotes good health in the society. It also offers a sports page to amuse the sports lovers.
It’s indeed a proud moment for Kashmir Horizon for completing its twelve years of wonderful journey and its brave coverage. But this progress is not possible without its galaxy of contributors in the form of its dynamic chief editor Mr. Shafqat Bukhari, editors, vibrant reporters, journalists, columnists, influencers and many more. Their passions are diverse and this pushes them to pour out themselves in their creative reporting and writings
Their passions are diverse and this pushes them to pour out themselves in their creative reporting and writings. The leading daily is available online and offline and has good social media presence. It is not easy to operate smoothly in the challenging zone of Jammu and Kashmir but this daily is trying to operate without fail. The paper has a high digital presence and that is the utmost need of the time. There is significant progress made but the leading daily has a massive potential to contribute in the society. It must provide more deep insights on businesses and opportunities for investments and flops in businesses. It must offer insights where and how to invest. There must be a page to focus on promoting Entrepreneurship in the Jammu and Kashmir. The leading daily must dedicate a page for youth highlighting vacancies for job employment and opportunities for higher studies and scholarship programmes. Congratulations to Kashmir Horizon Team for completing 12th years of better service to Jammu and Kashmir Society. I wish progress and more good contributions ahead…..
