Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, in his message, highlighted Diwali as a celebration of the eternal victory of light over darkness, virtue over vice, and justice over injustice. “Let us rededicate ourselves to bringing happiness and prosperity into the lives of all citizens, spreading the warmth of compassion and solidarity,” LG Sinha stated, praying for divine blessings of Maa Lakshmi, Bhagwan Ganesh, and Prabhu Shri Ram for every household. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah extended warm felicitations to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, as well as to all those celebrating across India and abroad. Reiterating that the festival of lights reinforces the core values of unity and mutual respect defining India’s rich cultural diversity, CM Omar expressed hope that the occasion would illuminate every home and usher in lasting peace, progress, and prosperity.
Joining in the festive greetings, Minister for Health, Medical Education, and Social Welfare Sakeena Itoo noted that Diwali symbolises the triumph of hope over despair and knowledge over ignorance. She emphasized that the timeless message of peace and mutual respect continues to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and togetherness across society, wishing renewed health and happiness to all.
