Ramban| Nov, 04:Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan, Tuesday visited the Dalwas stretch of National Highway-44 along with Senior Superintendent of Police Anna Lata Sinha, to review road safety measures and assess the progress of ongoing works under the National Highway Four-laning  project.

The DC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Varunjeet Singh Charak, PD NHAI Shubham Yadav, Dy. SP Traffic Vinod Kundal and other concerned officers.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the vulnerable stretch of the highway near the newly established petrol pump at Dalwas, an accident prone area of NH-44. He took stock of the safety measures put in place by the NHAI to prevent accidents and ensure the smooth movement of traffic along the stretch.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to take immediate steps for clearing and making the vulnerable stretch safe at the earliest. He stressed the need to ensure proper road safety measures, improve road conditions and maintain smooth traffic flow to minimise accidents and ensure the safety of commuters.

He further reviewed the progress of various ongoing road construction and four-laning works being executed under the National Highway project. He directed the executing authorities to expedite the pace of work while ensuring adherence to prescribed safety standards and maintaining the convenience of road users.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasised that public safety must remain the top priority and directed the officers to take prompt and effective measures to address traffic-related concerns along the highway.
