Awantipora : Police on Wednesday seized two tractors in the Chersoo area of Awantipora for their involvement in illegal mining activities.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday Police said that the vehicles were seized during an intensified checking drive against the unlawful exploitation of natural resources. A case under FIR No. 262/2026 has been registered under relevant provisions of law at Police Station Awantipora, and further investigation has been initiated to curb illegal mining in the district.
