Initiative to cover all Zones across the country

Srinagar :  J&K Bank has initiated a series of Customer Care Town Hall Meetings to enhance engagement with its customers, with the first meeting taking place at the Zonal Office in Baramulla. This initiative provides a platform for customers to interact directly with senior bank officials, allowing them to share feedback, address service-related concerns, and increase awareness of safe banking practices.

The meeting was Chaired by General Manager (Customer Care) Narjay Gupta, alongside other senior officials, and attracted over 150 customers who voiced their concerns and suggestions regarding the bank’s services. Key topics discussed included customer service delivery, the prevention of cyber fraud, and the need for a robust grievance redressal mechanism. The importance of establishing clear Turnaround Times (TATs) for resolving complaints was also highlighted to ensure timely responses and accountability. Narjay Gupta emphasized that building customer trust is essential and that these meetings are part of the bank’s commitment to listening to customer feedback and improving services. He noted the significance of customer awareness in the digital banking landscape, particularly concerning risks associated with mule accounts and cyber fraud. General Manager & Divisional Head (Kashmir) Arshid Qadri reiterated the bank’s responsibility to remain accessible and responsive to customer needs, stating that such interactions are vital for understanding customer experiences and identifying areas for improvement. The Transaction Monitoring team provided a presentation on fraud prevention, followed by an interactive session encouraging customer participation. Customers expressed the need for regular awareness sessions on digital fraud prevention to promote safer banking practices. The Town Hall series will be expanded to all Zonal Offices across Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and beyond, with the next meeting scheduled for November 5 in Anantnag.
