Kishtwar | October, 31: Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma claimed that growing discontent within the ruling National Conference (NC) following its recent Cabinet expansion could deepen internal division and destabilize the current administration.
Talking to reporters in Kishtwar, Sharma said, “On the day of the Cabinet expansion itself, I had said this was the beginning of the end. The National Conference will collapse like a house of cards.” Sharma asserted that resentment stems not only from missed ministerial positions but also from wider opposition to dynastic rule within the party. Referring to secret meetings among disgruntled legislators, political sources said developments indicate internal rifts are actively deepening. Sharma maintained that the unfulfilled expectations of overlooked MLAs will severely test the longevity of the governing coalition.
