Reception held at party headquarters; party leaders and workers accord him a warm welcome

Srinagar, 31 Oct: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference senior leader, Hon’ble Minister Haji Ali Mohammad Sagar Saturday resumed his responsibilities as the party’s General Secretary at the party headquarters, following the directions of JKNC President Dr Farooq Abdullah.

It may be recalled that Dr Farooq Abdullah on Friday directed Haji Ali Mohammad Sagar to continue functioning as the party’s General Secretary until further orders. A formal order was also issued in this regard, authorising Sagar to continue as General Secretary.

On the occasion, a reception was organised in his honour by party leaders led by Provincial President Showkat Ahmad Mir. The party leaders and workers accorded him a warm welcome, felicitating him with garlands and extending their congratulations and best wishes.

Addressing the gathering, Sagar said that the NC is a democratic and inclusive political party where every member has the full right to express their views and opinions. He asserted that complete unity and cohesion prevail within the party and there is no division or discord in its ranks.

He said that the National Conference is a mass-based political organisation deeply connected with the aspirations of the people and remains committed to democratic values and the principles of collective leadership.
Senior party leaders and public representatives also addressed the gathering, including MLA Chadoora Ali Mohammad Dar, MLA Hazratbal Salman Ali Sagar, Provincial Secretary Syed Tauqeer Ahmad, Provincial President Women’s Wing Kashmir Er. Sabiya Qadri, District President Pir Afaq Ahmad and Minority Cell Convener Jagdish Singh Azad.
