KULGAM, OCTOBER 30: A district-level programme to mark the release of the 24th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme was organised today at the DC Office Complex, Kulgam.

The programme was attended by ADDC Kulgam, Altaf Ahmad Khan, Chief Agriculture Officer Kulgam and officers from various agriculture and allied departments.

More than 100 farmers from different parts of District Kulgam participated in the event and witnessed the live proceedings of the nationwide programme marking the release of the 24th instalment by the Prime Minister of India.

On the occasion, the participating officers highlighted the significance of the PM-KISAN scheme in providing financial assistance to eligible farming families and supporting their agricultural activities. The officers also emphasised the importance of effective implementation of various agriculture and allied-sector schemes for improving farmers’ livelihoods and promoting sustainable agricultural development.

The programme provided an opportunity for interaction between farmers and departmental officers, reaffirming the government’s continued commitment towards the welfare of the farming community.
