Kathua|Oct, 27: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Kathua, on Tuesday reviewed 10 undertrial prisoner cases at its third quarterly Undertrial Review Committee meeting, recommending six for consideration under applicable legal provisions.
The meeting was chaired by DLSA Chairman Pravin Pandoh and coordinated by Secretary DLSA Urvashi R. Bhargav.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Sachin Jamwal, Additional Superintendent of Police Sunil Kesar, District Jail Superintendent Mohinder Pal and Chief Prosecution Officer Rajesh Sharma attended the meeting.
The committee reviewed the cases in accordance with prescribed guidelines, emphasising legal safeguards, access to justice and periodic review of undertrial detention.
