Awantipora : Police on Friday seized six vehicles, including five dumpers and one tipper, during enforcement drives against unauthorized mineral extraction across different locations in Awantipora.
In a statement issued here on Friday Police said that at Bathen law enforcers of Police Station Khrew seized three dumpers engaged in the unauthorized extraction of minerals. Similarly, Police Post Reshipora, in coordination with the Mining Department, seized two dumpers, while Police Station Awantipora seized another vehicle involved in illicit extraction activities.
Reiterating its commitment to take strict legal action against illegal mining operations, police appealed people to cooperate by reporting any such unlawful activities to the nearest police establishment.
