Minga  directs quality and timely completion of projects

Jammu : Development Commissioner Minga Sherpa Thursday  chaired a meeting to review the physical and financial progress of District Capex Budget works taken up across the Public Works (R&B), Power Development, Jal Shakti (PHE), Irrigation and Education sectors.

ADDC Sher Singh; Chief Planning Officer Ajaypal Singh, Superintending Engineers besides Executive Engineers and others concerned were present.

The DDC took sector-wise stock of the status of ongoing projects, expenditure incurred and pace of execution. He directed the concerned executing agencies to expedite pending works and complete them within the stipulated timelines.

Emphasising transparency and accountability in implementation, the DDC asked officers to adhere strictly to quality standards and ensure that no compromise is made on the specifications of works. He also directed them to identify and resolve bottlenecks at the earliest, in coordination with other departments where required.

“Development works must be completed on time and the benefits should reach people in every corner of the district,” the DDC said.

He further asked the officers to ensure timely utilisation of funds and regular monitoring of works on the ground.
