Motorists Advised To Use Alternate Routes During ‘Pedal Through Paradise’

Srinagar | October, 16: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Traffic Srinagar City Bisma Qazi on Friday urged people to plan their journeys in advance for Sunday, October 18, in view of the ‘Pedal Through Paradise’ cycling event.
Sharing details of the traffic diversions, officials said restrictions would be imposed on several key arterial roads in Srinagar from 5 am to ensure participant safety and maintain order. The cycling rally will commence at Lalit Ghat and proceed towards Nagbal via Shalimar and Harwan, with movement restricted along the Lalit Ghat–Harwan and Lalit Ghat–Pandesh corridors.
“Motorists travelling from Harwan should use the Burzahom, Chandpora, Telbal, Zakura, Malbagh, Ellahibagh and 90 Feet Road routes. Those coming from Ganderbal and Nagbal should also use 90 Feet Road,” Qazi said.
Traffic authorities added that restrictions will apply at Badiyari Chowk, Nishat, and Dal Gate. Designated parking has been arranged at the Golf Course, Barista, Zabarwan Park, and Nehru Park. Emergency medical vehicles and airport-bound passengers will be routed through Dargah-Khanyar, with assistance available via traffic control helpline 103.
