Bereaved Family Receives Compensation

Bandipora | October, 15: The administration has proposed a formal inquiry into the death of a pregnant woman from Gurez, submitting the proposal to the Director Health Services Kashmir, while monetary compensation was delivered to her family on Thursday morning.
Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Indu Kanwal Chhib confirmed that the proposal for an investigation had been dispatched and financial assistance was handed over to the family. Reports said the deceased, Haseen Bagem of Mazgund village, developed pregnancy complications on Tuesday evening. She was initially taken to a primary health centre in Sheikhpora where no medical staff was available, and subsequently transferred to Sub-District Hospital Gurez. Doctors there advised shifting her to District Hospital Bandipora due to low blood levels, where her baby was delivered stillborn before she succumbed to her condition.
