Srinagar | October, 12: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday attached a residential property on the outskirts of Srinagar in connection with a cross-border terror conspiracy involving Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
In an official statement, agency officials said the property, located in the Danihama area of Hazratbal and belonging to accused Ghulam Mohammad Mir alias Mama Gas, was attached under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), 1967, after approval from the NIA Director General.
Investigators revealed that the case pertains to an Over Ground Worker (OGW) network coordinating with Pakistan-based handlers to facilitate infiltration, movement, and shelter for terrorists. A search conducted at Mir’s residence earlier this year led to the detection of two suspected Pakistani terrorists and the recovery of explosive-like substances and digital devices.
Further investigation is underway to unravel the complete terror-support network, officials said.
