Says “Sheikh-ul-Alam’s timeless message a guiding light for harmony, compassion and coexistence”

New Delhi |Oct, 8:Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Thursday extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the annual Urs of Sheikh-ul-Alam, Sheikh Nooruddin Noorani (RA), describing his life and teachings as an enduring source of spiritual guidance, harmony and compassion.
In his message, the Chief Minister said Sheikh Nooruddin Noorani (RA), revered as Alamdar-e-Kashmir and NundReshi, occupies a unique place in Kashmir’s spiritual and cultural heritage, and that his teachings continue to carry profound relevance in the contemporary world.
“Sheikh-ul-Alam (RA) remains an eternal beacon of peace, harmony and spiritual enlightenment. His universal message transcends sectarian boundaries and continues to inspire people across faiths and generations,” the Chief Minister said.
He said the revered saint’s emphasis on simplicity, compassion, tolerance, devotion and brotherhood has deeply influenced Kashmir’s composite cultural and spiritual ethos.
The Chief Minister observed that the enduring appeal of Sheikh-ul-Alam (RA) lies in his message of humanity, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence, values that remain as relevant Thursday as ever.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister prayed for peace, prosperity and well-being of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and urged everyone to draw inspiration from the life and teachings of Sheikh Nooruddin Noorani (RA).
