DLSA Jammu Chairman reviews progress of Mediation Campaign 3.0

Jammu : District Legal Services Authority Jammu, under the able guidance of Principal District & Sessions Judge (Chairman DLSA) Tahir Khurshid Raina and under the supervision of Civil Judge (Senior Division) – Secretary DLSA Maleeka Sharma, Monday convened a meeting of the Mediators empanelled with DLSA Jammu, TLSC Bishnah, Akhnoor and RS Pura in the office chamber of Principal District & Sessions Judge, Jammu.

The meeting was chaired by the Chairman Tahir Khurshid Raina and was attended by Maleeka Sharma, Secretary DLSA Jammu and mediators.

During the meeting, the overall progress under the ongoing Special Mediation Campaign 3.0 “Mediation for the Nation” was reviewed. The Chairman impressed upon all the Mediators to put in their best efforts and to take up the referred matters on priority so that maximum number of cases involving matrimonial disputes, domestic violence, cheque bounce, labour matters, compoundable criminal cases and other civil disputes are settled amicably between the parties.

He stressed that mediation is the most effective mode of Alternative Dispute Resolution which not only reduces the pendency but also helps in restoring cordial relations between the parties.
