DAHJ reviews progress of Animal Husbandry sector programmes

Jammu : Director Animal Husbandry Department Jammu Dr. Jugal Kishor Monday convened a review meeting here in the Meeting Hall of the Directorate, to assess the progress and implementation of the developmental programmes and schemes under Holistic Agriculture Development Plan (HADP), CAPEX, NABARD and Special Assistance (SASCI) for upgrading veterinary infrastructure and the livestock.

The meeting was attended by Chief Animal Husbandry Officers of the Division and Deputy Director Planning and Statistics, Accounts Officer and Extension Officer Publicity Wing AHD Jammu.

The meeting held detailed discussions on the physical and financial progress of ongoing projects, implementation, status utilization of allocated funds, achievement of targets and issues requiring timely intervention. The officers concerned apprised the meeting about the progress of the activities being undertaken under the respective schemes.

The meeting also reviewed the status of projects at the field level with emphasis on effective utilization of funds, timely completion of works and achievement of intended outcomes for the livestock and dairy farming community.

The Director emphasized the need for close monitoring of scheme implementation, timely execution of approved activities, proper utilization of funds and adherence to prescribed guidelines and timelines. The concerned officers were directed to ensure regular follow-up and take necessary corrective measures wherever required under rule.

The meeting concluded with directions to all concerned officers to work in a coordinated manner and ensure that the benefits of the development programmes reach the intended beneficiaries in a transparent, efficient and time-bound manner.
