Anantnag | October, 03: ASHA workers staged a protest at the Sports Stadium in Anantnag under the banner of the Trade Union Coordination Committee (TUCC), demanding enhanced monthly remuneration and wage parity with other states.
Led by union leaders, protesters highlighted their vital role as the primary healthcare link in rural and remote areas, covering maternal care, immunization, and public health initiatives under challenging conditions.Trade union representatives urged the government to prioritize their long-pending grievances and establish a compensation structure that reflects their extensive responsibilities.
