AMEAK delegation submits memorandum on pension coverage
Religious delegations discuss welfare and shrine development matters
Srinagar : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday held separate meetings with Kishtwar MLA Shagun Parihar and various community delegations, who raised issues concerning development, pension coverage and welfare.
Parihar discussed matters related to the development of Hudh Mata Temple, Sarthal Mata Temple and the Sports Stadium in Kishtwar with the Lieutenant Governor.
A delegation of the All Minority Employees Association Kashmir (AMEAK), led by its president Sanjay Koul, also called on Sinha and submitted a memorandum seeking coverage under the Old Pension Scheme for PM Package employees appointed against posts created and notified before the implementation of the National Pension System in Jammu and Kashmir.
Separately, Maulana Yasoob Abbas, General Secretary and spokesperson of the All India Shia Personal Law Board, met the LG and discussed various welfare issues concerning the community. He was accompanied by Molvi Imran Reza Ansari, former minister.
Abbas also expressed gratitude to the UT administration for the smooth observance of Muharram processions.
A delegation of Mata Kheer Bhawani AsthapanTikkar, Kupwara, led by its president Mohan Lal Padroo, also met Sinha and apprised him of various development issues concerning the shrine.
