Baramulla : Police on Tuesday seized five tractors involved in the illegal extraction and transportation of sand during a targeted raid at Delina Ghat.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, Police said a team from Police Post Delina intercepted the vehicles carrying illegally extracted minor minerals, initiating action under the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act (MMDR Act). In its statement Police reiterated its commitment to curbing illegal extraction activities and protect resources and the local environment.
