Budgam| Sept, 28: Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Athar Aamir Khan, alongside Director Kashmir Campus, Dr. Guneet Singh, conducted a comprehensive inspection of the University of Jammu’s Kashmir Campus at Rakh Aarath, Bemina, to evaluate ongoing infrastructure development and gauge operational readiness.
Reviewing key components alongside executing agencies and departmental heads, the DC urged a synchronized, result-oriented approach to eliminate operational bottlenecks. Emphasizing the vital role of field-level monitoring and inter-departmental synergy, he prioritized the immediate resolution of lingering issues to ensure the campus opens within its stipulated deadlines.
The inspection focused heavily on bringing essential utilities and access infrastructure to completion without delay. Directives were issued to the Power Development Department to finalize pending high-tension (HT) line work on priority, while Public Health Engineering (PHE) authorities were instructed to expedite water supply connections. Furthermore, the DC evaluated the progress of the approach road, site development, protective fencing, and prefabricated facilities, strictly mandating that remaining construction adhere to prescribed quality standards to deliver a fully accessible, top-tier higher education facility for the district.
