Srinagar, Sep 28: High drama was witnessed inside the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Monday after BJP members protested against Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather, shouting slogans of “Kursi Chodo, Kursi Chodo, Speaker Sahab”.
Reports reaching GNS said that BJP legislators stormed into the well of the House, raising slogans demanding the Speaker vacate the chair and throwing papers towards the Chair.
The protest came after BJP MLA from Udhampur East, R S Pathania informed the House that the party has served a notice seeking removal of the Speaker from his post.
The House witnessed noisy scenes for several minutes as marshals were seen trying to maintain order.(GNS)
