Srinagar : Police on Saturday said that it has attached and frozen four immovable properties collectively valued at approximately ₹7.11 crore across Srinagar in connection with ongoing cases under the NDPS Act and UA(P) Act.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, Police said that Police Station Zakura attached a residential house with land at Bilal Colony valued at ₹2.5 crore belonging to Owais Ahmad Rather S/O Gh. Mohd Rather was attached under Section 68-F(1) of the NDPS Act in FIR No. 34/2026.
Earlier, Police Station Nowgam attached property worth ₹2.85 crore—comprising a two-storeyed building, two shops, and a rice mill over 18 marlas at Wagoora—belonging to Sheeraz Ahmed Sheikh S/O Nazir Ahmad Sheikh under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act in FIR No. 121/2023. In another action, Police Station Ahmadnagar attached a residential property worth ₹1.30 crore at Danihama belonging to Zahoor Ahmad Mir S/O Abdul Gani Mir under Section 25 of the UA(P) Act in connection with FIR No. 20/2026. Additionally, Police Station Shalteng froze a residential house with 07 marlas of land valued at ₹46 lakh at Check Mujgund belonging to Amir Ahmad Mir S/O Mohd. Ashraf Mir under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act in FIR No. 43/2023. In its statement Police reiterated its commitment to dismantle all financial support structures sustaining illicit operations.
