Budgam, : The birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya was commemorated at New Spring Buds School, Budgam, with a programme organised by MY Bharat Budgam, in which more than 100 students participated.
The programme aimed to familiarise students with the life, public service and ideas of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, while promoting values of cleanliness, discipline, social responsibility, community service and youth participation.
The programme was organised and coordinated by Er. Aquib Ahmad, Programme In-Charge, MY Bharat Budgam. He stressed the importance of involving young people in social and public welfare activities and encouraged students to contribute towards building a clean and responsible society.
Dr. Hameed, Principal, New Spring Buds School, attended the programme as Guest of Honour. He appreciated the initiative and the participation of students, urging them to remain involved in community service and social welfare activities.
During the awareness session, students were briefed about the significance of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s birth anniversary, his contribution to public service and nation-building, and the importance of social responsibility.
As part of Seva Pakhwada, a cleanliness and awareness drive was also conducted on the school premises. More than 100 students, along with school staff and MY Bharat volunteers, cleaned different areas of the school and spread messages on hygiene and maintaining a clean environment.
A Seva Pakhwada awareness rally was subsequently organised, with students raising awareness about cleanliness, environmental protection, responsible citizenship, proper waste management and community participation. They also urged local residents to maintain cleanliness in public places, educational institutions and their surroundings.
The organisers said the initiative was aimed at connecting the commemoration with the broader objectives of Seva Pakhwada and encouraging students to take an active role in community service and environmental protection.
The programme concluded with an appeal to students to become ambassadors of cleanliness, social responsibility and environmental awareness in their school and communities. The organisers expressed gratitude to the school principal, teachers, students, volunteers and other participants for their cooperation.
