Kulgam | September, 26: A 45-year-old man sustained injuries after being mauled by a wild bear in the Chimmer area of Kulgam district on Saturday afternoon.
Witnesses said the victim was attacked unexpectedly and was promptly shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. He was later identified as Mohammad Rasheed Khatana, son of Mohammad Ismail Khatana, a resident of Chimmer. Meanwhile, local authorities are verifying the details of the incident, while residents have urged the administration to deploy wildlife teams to prevent further attacks in the area.
