Woman sustains head injuries in Anderwan attack, shifted to SKIMS Soura for specialised treatment
Ganderbal, Sep 24: A 45-year-old woman was injured after being attacked by a wild bear near her residence in the Anderwan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Thursday.
The woman, identified as Najeeba Bano, wife of Shabir Ahmad Awan, sustained injuries to her head in the attack, sources said.
Following the incident, she was immediately shifted to SKIMS Soura for specialised medical treatment. Her condition was not immediately known.
The incident has caused concern among residents of the Anderwan area, with locals urging the concerned authorities to take necessary measures to prevent wild animals from entering residential areas.
