Baramulla : Police on Tuesday said that it has seized three vehicles for being involved in unauthorized mineral transportation.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday Police said joint teams from Police Post Mirgund and the Mining Department intercepted two vehicles carrying sand without valid permissions during a checking exercise. The seized vehicles include a dumper registered as JK03E-4297, driven by Momin Farooq Wani S/O Farooq Ahmad Wani R/O Pampore, and a tipper registered as JK02AA-1486, driven by Zahoor Ahmad Shah S/O Abdul Ahad Shah R/O Pampore. In a separate action Police Station Kreeri seized an unregistered tractor (Chassis No. 5DECEA017018) involved in transporting illegally extracted materials, with legal proceedings initiated under applicable mining laws.
