Srinagar, Sept 22: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has relieved Shri Mohd. Zaid, SSP and Commanding Officer of 13 J&K Armed Police (JKAP), to enable him to join the National Investigation Agency (NIA) as Superintendent of Police on deputation.
According to Government Order No. 472-Home of 2026, issued by the J&K Home Department on September 22, Zaid (KPS013477) has been relieved with effect from Tuesday afternoon to take up his new assignment with the NIA.
The order states that his initial deputation will be for a period of four years, extendable up to seven years, subject to the terms and conditions prescribed by the NIA and the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
The government order was issued following a letter from the NIA dated September 9, 2026, seeking his deputation.
The order was issued by the J&K Home Department on behalf of the Lieutenant Governor and signed by Principal Secretary to the Government, Home Department, Chandraker Bharti, IAS.
