B’gam | September 21: Police on Monday said that it has solved a gold theft case in Bugam .
In a statement issued here on Monday Police said that case was registered at Police Station Charar-i-Sharief after receiving a written complaint regarding the theft of a gold bangle from a visitor at the Charar-i-Sharief Shrine.
Upon registering FIR No. 70/2026, police meticulously analyzed CCTV footage and other evidence. The accused woman was identified a as Dolly Jan, W/O Farooq Ahmad Sheikh, D/O Mohammad Rafiq Sheikh, R/O Shaltang A/P Lalpora Tangmarg and was subsequently arrested. During questioning, the accused confessed to the crime, following which the stolen gold bangle was recovered. Further investigation into the case is underway.
