Srinagar, Sep 21: The seven-sitting Autumn Session of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly began in Srinagar on Monday.
Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather, as per GNS, took the Chair as the House assembled after summons by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha under Section 18(1) of J&K Reorganization Act, 2019.
The Speaker made obituary references on the sad demise of three former Ministers, Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Shri Dharam Paul and Ghulam Hassan Khan, who passed away during the inter-session period.
The House observed two minutes silence as a mark of respect to the departed leaders.
The House moved to Question Hour with questions entered in separate list being taken up for answers.
The day’s agenda also includes announcement of Panel of Chairmen, laying of House Committee report on alleged irregularities in Jal Jeevan Mission by Justice Hasnain Masoodi and introduction of Cooperative Societies (Amendment) Bill by Minister Javid Ahmad Dar.(GNS)
