JJM Report and Cooperative Bill on agenda for Day 1

Srinagar: The autumn session of the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly will commence on Monday with obituary references, the presentation of a House Committee report on alleged irregularities in the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), and the introduction of a Cooperative Bill on its agenda.
According to the list of business accessed by news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), proceedings will open with obituary references by Speaker Advocate Abdul Rahim Rather on the demise of three former Ministers — Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Dharam Paul, and Ghulam Hassan Khan.
Following the tributes, the House will hold a Question Hour, after which the Speaker will announce a panel of Chairmen for the session.
The day’s key agenda includes the presentation of the House Committee report on JJM. Justice Hasnain Masoodi, Chairman of the Committee constituted to probe alleged irregularities in the scheme’s implementation, will lay a copy of the report on the Table of the House.
Subsequently, Minister Incharge Cooperatives, Javid Ahmad Dar, will introduce a bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Cooperative Societies Act, 1989. The legislation seeks to repeal the Jammu and Kashmir Self Reliant Cooperative Act, 1999—(KNO)
