Principal Census Officer Ramban flags off Publicity Vans to generate awareness on Population Enumeration

RAMBAN, SEPTEMBER 20: Principal Census Officer (Deputy Commissioner) Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan today flagged off two LED-mounted publicity vans to generate awareness among the general public regarding the Phase-II Population Enumeration of Census-2027 in the district.

Additional District Census Officer, Ashfaq Ur Rehman; Tehsildar Ramban Deep Kumar; District Coordinator for Census-2027, Anish Sharma and other concerned officers were present on the occasion.

The publicity vans will travel across different areas of the district and disseminate information about the Census-2027 exercise, while encouraging maximum public participation in the Population Enumeration.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the initiative forms part of the ongoing Information, Education and Communication (IEC) activities being undertaken to ensure wider outreach and effective public participation in the Census-2027 exercise.

The DC emphasized the importance of providing complete, accurate and correct information during the Population Enumeration, stating that active public cooperation is essential for ensuring comprehensive, reliable and credible census data.

The Principal Census Officer appealed to the people of the district to extend full cooperation to the Census Enumerators visiting households for the Population Enumeration and provide the required information accurately. He urged residents to actively participate in the census exercise and facilitate the enumerators in carrying out their assigned duties.
