New Delhi , :   Jammu & Kashmir presented its advancements in digital governance at a workshop organized by the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances in New Delhi.  The event gathered representatives from various North-Eastern States and the Union Territory of Ladakh, focusing on the exchange of successful e-governance practices and innovative digital solutions aimed at enhancing citizen-centric service delivery.

The J&K delegation, led by Sh. Saurabh Bhagat showcased the region’s roadmap for scaling digital service delivery, emphasizing the development of an integrated ecosystem for public services. The presentation detailed the extensive portfolio of online services available in J&K and the digital platforms utilized to enhance accessibility, transparency, and efficiency in government operations. A significant aspect of the discussion was J&K’s collaboration with BISAG-N, which has transitioned from project-specific engagements to a comprehensive technology partnership, supporting over 40 initiatives across various sectors through the application of emerging technologies and geospatial systems. Additionally, the workshop highlighted J&K’s AI Centre of Excellence, which focuses on practical applications of artificial intelligence to improve public service delivery and administrative efficiency. The emphasis was placed on aligning technological advancements with the specific needs of government departments. The event also facilitated cross-learning, with Assam presenting its SewaSetu initiative, which integrates government services through a unified digital platform, offering insights into alternative approaches to citizen service delivery. The interactions among J&K and other participating regions underscored the adaptability of digital governance strategies across different administrative contexts. J&K’s comprehensive presentation and its commitment to leveraging technology for improved governance provided valuable reference points for other Union Territories and states. The workshop ultimately fostered cooperative federalism and peer learning in e-governance, with J&K expressing gratitude to DARPG for the opportunity to share experiences and reaffirming its dedication to enhancing a responsive and technology-driven administration for its citizens.
